LOVB San Francisco Volleyball is League One Volleyball's ninth team, proudly representing the Bay Area and set to play its inaugural season in 2027. The organization is shaping a new vision for professional sports, emphasizing elite competition, community engagement, and the advancement of women’s volleyball. One of the most decorated ownership groups in history with more than 30 Olympic medals, and multiple world and national titles, LOVB SFs ownership group is women-led and barrier-breaking across support, business and culture.

Role Overview

The VP, Ticketing & Fan Revenue will architect and lead LOVB San Francisco’s entire ticketing and fan monetization strategy. This executive will build the systems, pricing philosophy, membership models, and sales engine that define how fans access and experience the team. This is a foundational leadership role responsible for turning ticketing into both a primary revenue driver and a community growth platform. The ideal candidate blends strategic vision, analytical rigor, and startup execution experience within sports, entertainment, or live events.

This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Core ResponsibilitiesTicketing Strategy & Revenue Ownership

  • Develop and own the long-term ticketing vision and revenue strategy
  • Design pricing architecture across Season memberships, Premium seating & hospitality, Group and community sales, and Single-match inventory
  • Build demand forecasting and revenue modeling frameworks
  • Establish inventory allocation strategy balancing revenue, access, and brand growth
  • Create scalable membership models emphasizing retention and lifetime fan value

Ticketing Systems & Technology Buildout

  • Evaluate, select, and implement ticketing platforms and vendors
  • Build the ticketing technology ecosystem including CRM integration, Data analytics and reporting dashboards, Dynamic pricing tools and Mobile-first ticket delivery
  • Define operational processes for fulfillment, reporting, and customer lifecycle management
  • Establish policies for resale marketplaces, transfers, and fraud mitigation

Fan Revenue & Membership Innovation

  • Develop premium fan products and membership tiers aligned with LOVB SF’s brand and community positioning
  • Partner with Marketing and Partnerships to create bundled offerings and experiential packages
  • Design access models that combine premium experiences with youth and community inclusion
  • Shape ticketing as an entry point into broader fan ecosystems (events, retail, memberships)

Sales Leadership & Performance Management

  • Build and lead ticket sales strategy and future team structure
  • Establish KPIs, reporting cadence, and performance benchmarks
  • Collaborate with marketing on acquisition funnels and conversion optimization
  • Drive group sales, corporate engagement, and community-based ticket initiatives

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Marketing (fan acquisition & campaigns), Partnerships (sponsor integrations & hospitality), Finance (forecasting & revenue planning) and Event Operations (seating design & capacity planning)
  • Inform long-term venue and expansion strategy through demand insights

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years in ticketing, revenue strategy, or sports/live entertainment leadership
  • Experience launching or scaling ticketing operations preferred
  • Expertise with modern ticketing platforms (Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Jump, or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and pricing strategy background
  • Experience integrating ticketing with CRM and marketing systems
  • Proven builder mindset, comfortable creating systems from zero
  • Passion for women’s sports and community-centered fan experiences

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000. Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors, including experience, skills, and scope.
