LOVB San Francisco Volleyball is League One Volleyball's ninth team, proudly representing the Bay Area and set to play its inaugural season in 2027. The organization is shaping a new vision for professional sports, emphasizing elite competition, community engagement, and the advancement of women’s volleyball. One of the most decorated ownership groups in history with more than 30 Olympic medals, and multiple world and national titles, LOVB SFs ownership group is women-led and barrier-breaking across support, business and culture.

Role

LOVB San Francisco is seeking a Vice President of Partnerships & Revenue to lead the team’s partnership strategy and build a best-in-class commercial revenue engine. This leader will drive founding partnerships, sponsorship sales, and long-term strategic brand relationships that power the growth of professional women’s volleyball in the Bay Area. The VP will translate vision into a modern commercial engine that reflects LOVB SF’s purpose-driven, community-first model in women’s professional sport.

This is a full-time position based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Core Responsibilities

Partnerships & Sponsor Revenue

  • Own partnership revenue targets and annual commercial planning
  • Develop and sell founding and multi-year partnerships
  • Create category-exclusive partnership platforms
  • Build integrated packages across media, events, digital, youth programming, and fan experiences
  • Lead negotiation, deal structuring, and contract execution
  • Oversee partnership activation strategy and delivery

Commercial Strategy

  • Define the team’s partnership positioning and go-to-market narrative
  • Collaborate with league leadership on shared and national partner opportunities
  • Identify new revenue categories and brand collaboration opportunities
  • Develop pricing frameworks and valuation models
  • Track revenue forecasting and performance metrics
  • Develop partnership materials

Relationship & Account Leadership

  • Serve as senior relationship lead for key partners
  • Ensure high-touch partner experience and renewal strategy
  • Build long-term strategic collaborations vs transactional sponsorships

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Build and lead partnerships sales and activation teams
  • Establish CRM, reporting, and partnership operations systems
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, content, and ticketing leads

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in partnerships, sponsorship sales, or commercial leadership
  • Experience in sports, media, entertainment, or lifestyle brands preferred
  • Strong network across brand and agency ecosystems
  • Strategic seller with strong storytelling capability
  • Experience building revenue organizations from early-stage growth

Compensation

The starting base salary for this role is $160,000 + commissions. Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors, including experience, skills, and scope.
