Position Summary:
Winamac Community High School seeks a Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach to lead our 2A program. We compete in Sectional 34 and the Hoosier North Athletic Conference. The program has a strong tradition of success with multiple conference and sectional titles and returns a talented group of five starters and eight letter winners.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Provide positive experiences for our student-athletes
- Develop student-athletes skills and fundamentals in order to compete at a high level
- Assume responsibility for the overall volleyball program
- High School, Middle School, and Youth
- Plan and execute weekly/daily practice plans
- Abide by all IHSAA and Winamac Community rules and regulations
- Communicate effectively with administration, players, and parents
- Record and report inventory of equipment
- Lead off-season/summer workouts/lifting sessions
- Model appropriate behavior on and off the court
- Must be certified or become eligible to drive a school activity bus (white bus)
Qualifications:
- Preferred prior successful head coaching experience
- Preferred experience of playing/coaching at the collegiate level
- Effective coaching techniques and skills
