Join the newest addition to the WNBA family as we bring professional women’s basketball to Canada! The Toronto Tempo is the WNBA’s 14th franchise and first Canadian team set to tip off in May. Job Summary:

The Team Photographer will report to the Manager, Content Marketing and be responsible for capturing high-quality photography, highlighting the team, the athletes, and the vibrant culture that thrives on and off the court. This individual will be responsible for photographing all the Tempo’s home games during the 2026 season along with community events, media days, and other relevant team appearances. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with strong technical skills and a keen eye for live action. The Team Photographer will work closely with the Content and Social teams to bring campaigns to life, from concept to execution, while helping establish and protect the Tempo’s brand identity across all platforms. This individual will need to be at all Tempo home games in Toronto and able to work weeknights, evenings, and weekends from April to October 2026.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Photograph all Tempo home games in Toronto during the 2026 season.
  • Capture content for community events, media days, and other relevant team appearances.
  • Produce high-quality images of players, coaches, and staff that align with the team’s brand and storytelling goals.
  • Edit and deliver images promptly for use across social media, digital platforms, and PR.
  • Work closely with social media, marketing, design, communications, and content team to meet content needs throughout the entire season.
  • Maintain and organize a complete photo archive in accordance with league and team guidelines (ScorePlay & Greenfly).
  • Ensure all photography follows WNBA rules, credential requirements, and usage rights.
  • Manage photography workflows and backups to ensure consistent quality and reliability.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with professional photography required, ideally within sports, entertainment, media, or lifestyle brands.
  • Experience working with professional or collegiate sports teams required.
  • Skilled with professional DSLR or mirrorless cameras and photography editing softwares (Adobe Creative Suite, CaptureOne).
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with quick-turn execution and adaptability.
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback and iteration.
  • Passion for basketball, women’s sports, or community-driven storytelling is an asset.
  • Must have your own equipment to use on a regular basis including camera, lenses, laptop, additional gear.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, week nights, and weekends.

The salary range for the Team Photographer (seasonal) role is $3500/month - $4000/month dependent on hours worked that month.
