Job Summary:

The Coordinator, Social will report to the Manager, Social Media Marketing and be responsible for supporting the execution of the Tempo’s social and digital presence. This individual will play a key part in bringing the Tempo brand to life across platforms, engaging fans in real time, and contributing to content that drives growth, engagement, and partnership value. The Coordinator, Social will support day-to-day publishing, content creation, and community management across the team’s social channels. This individual will need to be at all Tempo home games in Toronto and able to work weeknights, evenings, and weekends from April to October 2026 (approx. 6 hours per game day required).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of day-to-day social media publishing across Tempo channels, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
  • Provide live game day and event coverage, including real-time posting, content capture, editing, and publishing.
  • Capture, edit, and produce short-form content for social platforms, including video, photo, and graphics.
  • Create engaging copy for social posts that is reflective of the Tempo brand and engagement efforts.
  • Monitor social platforms and actively engage with fans in a timely and authentic manner reflective of the Tempo brand.
  • Identify and act on trending topics and cultural moments to amplify the Tempo’s voice and relevance in a timely manner.
  • Support content planning and campaign execution in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Contribute creative ideas, storylines, and content opportunities that strengthen fan connection and brand storytelling.
  • Assist with social reporting and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support social content capture and production at team events, media days, community activations, and other key moments.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of social media management experience, preferably within sports, entertainment, or a fast-paced brand environment required.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts required.
  • Experience capturing and editing photo and video content for social media required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar tools) preferred.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with a strong understanding of social voice and tone required.
  • Experience working with professional or collegiate sports teams preferred.
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with quick-turn execution and adaptability.
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback and iteration.
  • Passion for basketball, women’s sports, or community-driven storytelling is an asset.
  • Must have your own equipment to use on a regular basis including camera, phone, laptop, editing software, tripod etc.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weeknights, and weekends.

The salary range for the Coordinator, Social (Seasonal) role is $250-300/game day depending on # of hours worked.
