Established in 2007, the Chicago Stars were a founding member of the former Women’s Professional Soccer and later became one of the original eight teams to form the National Women’s Soccer League in 2013. They are the longest continuously operating professional women’s soccer team in the United States. The Chicago Stars have made the playoffs in seven consecutive years, from 2015-2021, while also competing in three championship matches in as many years, including the 2019 and 2021 NWSL Championships and the 2020 Challenge Cup Championship.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Team Administrator serves as a point of contact for the players and supports Soccer Operation management as a liaison between players and staff. Reporting to the Soccer Operations Manager, this role assists with all aspects of player operations within the NWSL. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, conscientious, solution-oriented, and cooperative professional committed to providing the optimal player experience. This role is an integral part of fostering a positive team culture and ensuring that players and staff members have an environment of respect and affirmation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Collaborate with Soccer Operation Manager, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Director of Soccer Operations & Player Care, and Head Coach to oversee communication with the club's Technical, Medical, Administrative, and Operation staff.
· Support Management on player relations, administrative correspondence, and cooperation with the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
· Support in organizing all team travel (including flights, meals, parking and transportation, and itineraries) and accompanying the team to away games.
· Building strong relationships with Soccer Operations staff from other NWSL teams
· Supports the Soccer Operation Manager by serving as the main point of contact for visiting teams, including updating the visiting team guide and coordinating and communicating travel times, training, equipment, and other needs.
· Assists as onsite game day administrative and operations contact for coaches, player captains, and officials.
· Coordinate and manage locker room inventory and coordinate orders of office supplies and other needs for players and coaches.
· Supports to coordinate and oversee the administration of pre-season tryouts, trialists or replacement players with the League
· Supports the Player Care Coordinator in the day-to-day business
· Supports the Player Care Coordinator with the player experience in coordinating the accommodation and transportation for trialists.
· Facilitate pre-season processes, including coordinating and communicating player arrivals and ensuring access to all resources, practical and team needs, housing, and credentials.
· Supporting overseeing Stadium Schedule (SeatGeek), locker room moves and equipment transport onsite, offsite, and during travel.
· Coordinate game-day chaplain procedures for home games.
· Coordinates set up and tear down each locker room for the home team, visiting team, and officials on game day.
· Assist in establishing and perfecting workflow and information flow systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree
· Minimum of 2 years of working experience
· Familiar with professional sport team environment
· Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication to diverse audiences.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise tasks, discretion, and good judgement.
· Availability to work after office hours, weekends, and occasional holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Two years' minimum experience in team sport management environment
· Previous NWSL Experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
· Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours,
· Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk.
LOCATION/SCHEDULE
· Work hours are generally 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
· Must have ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Must have reliable Transportation to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL, Central office located in Downtown Chicago, and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL
