Position Summary
The Corporate Partnerships & Activation Intern will support the Orlando Valkyries’ sponsorship and partnership efforts, helping to deliver best-in-class experiences for corporate partners while gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of professional sports sponsorship. Working closely with the Senior Director of Revenue & Partnerships, this intern will assist with partner servicing, activation execution, recap reporting, and prospecting support. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in sports business, sales, and brand partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Servicing & Activation
- Support the execution of corporate partner activations at home matches, including booth setup, experiential installations, and branded integrations.
- Serve as a day-of point of contact for assigned sponsors during home games.
- Help coordinate partner hospitality, VIP experiences, and co-branded promotions.
- Ensure sponsor deliverables are fulfilled on time and at a high standard of quality.
- Assist with the collection of activation photography and documentation for recap purposes.
Recap & Reporting
- Assist in compiling mid-season and end-of-season partnership recap reports.
- Help track and document sponsor impressions, social media mentions, and in-venue exposure.
- Maintain accurate records of partnership deliverables and fulfillment status.
- Support the creation of sponsor presentations and renewal proposals.
Prospecting & Administrative Support
- Assist in researching prospective corporate partners and building target lists.
- Help prepare materials for sales meetings and partnership presentations.
- Maintain and update records in the team’s CRM system.
- Perform additional sponsorship and business development tasks as assigned.
Team Culture & Collaboration
- Contribute to a positive and energetic office environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support team-wide initiatives.
- Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a team-first attitude at all times.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable interfacing with corporate clients.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Passion for sports business, brand partnerships, and client service.
Education & Experience
- Currently working toward a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in sales, client services, event coordination, or sponsorship is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus.
