Marshall, Missouri, Missouri Valley College is delighted to announce a career opportunity for a Head Coach in Women’s Lacrosse. The Head Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for all aspects of managing an NAIA Women’s Lacrosse program. The Head Coach must understand and promote the mission, goals, values and educational ideals of MVC.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages student-athlete recruitment and retention efforts for the Women’s Lacrosse program including traveling to high school and club events, evaluating prospective student-athletes, and generating applications to the college.
Directs the daily training and practice schedule to prepare student-athletes to compete. Responsible for planning all in-season practice sessions and developing an off-season training schedule and program (in coordination with Strength and Conditioning staff).
Direct all coaching during home and away contests.
Provides appropriate and necessary guidance and advice to women’s lacrosse student-athletes. Actively supports the academic integrity of the college, keeping academics at the highest priority for the student-athlete.
Participates in department service (i.e. student-athlete development, leadership, strength and conditioning programming, etc.). Maintain the applicable required certifications and serve on department committees
Propose, manage and monitor annual operating budget.
Participates in external relations activities and community service.
