Position Summary
The Chicago Sky are seeking a highly motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern to help play a key role on our Graphic Design team for the duration of the WNBA Season (May-September 2026). This position will create and assist on a range of projects led by the Graphic Design and Marketing departments, including social media graphics, print designs, general marketing materials and much more.
This is a paid, in-person internship based in Chicago. Up to 30 hours a week.
Ability to attend all Chicago Sky home games is required.
Must provide portfolio to be considered.
Reporting Relationships
The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Senior Manager of Brand Creative and Design.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and creation of graphics for the team's website, social media channels, e-mail and mobile app and general marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop and execute creative ideas and concepts for various platforms both digital and print.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to develop and execute branded assets for various digital platforms
- Assist with updating existing graphic templates and digital assets
- Ensure all design work is visually appealing, on brand, and consistent with the team's overall look and feel.
- Support the team in staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design and digital media
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Work closely with the content team to create visual assets that enhance the team's storytelling efforts
- Work a daily schedule as well as times before, during and after all Chicago Sky games at Wintrust Arena, which mostly occur on nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is required
- Can provide a portfolio showcasing previous work designing/directing creative projects
- Familiarity with social media, web, app and email platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Passion for women’s sports and understanding of the digital landscape in women’s sports
