Position:                                              Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball Head Coach

Posting Dates:                                    March 3-March 7 internal; March 8 � until filled external

Reports To:                                         Athletic Director

Effective Date of Employment:         Fall Volleyball season

Qualifications:

• Evidence of successful coaching experience at the high school level.
• Evidence of expertise in teaching the fundamentals of individual skills and team play.
• Evidence of the ability to help contribute to a successful program.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Job Requirements:

• Select, instruct, and coach the junior varsity team through the season at practices and contests.
• Organize practices and coach team at practices, games, and tournaments.
• Explain and demonstrate the key skills of the sport.
• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure ongoing communication with athletes and parents.
• Maintain all records, statistics, and awards information.
• Create a positive learning experience for all members of the team.

• Assist the Varsity Coach in the development of players in the program.

   

Language Skills:

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members. 

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

 Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
