Faribault, Minnesota, Shattuck St. Mary’s, an independent college preparatory boarding/day school (grades 6-12) in Faribault, Minnesota, is seeking a passionate, high-performance professional for the position of Assistant Girls Soccer Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Shattuck St. Mary’s Girls Soccer Signature Program is a high-performance development program for players in grades 9- 12 and is uniquely integrated into a rigorous academic environment. We are looking for a "people-driven" leader who wants to grow as a coach while making a positive impact on the lives of young athletes.
Shattuck St. Mary’s is a boarding/day school and coaches are expected to be involved with standard duties involved with a residential school setting. Starting salary is low $30s. In addition to cash salaries, SSM coaches are eligible to receive generous benefits including family housing and meals on campus.
Key Responsibilities
On-Field Coaching & Development
•Support the Head Coach in executing the daily regimen of individual and team training within our 10-month development cycle.
•Assist Field Sessions focused on enhancing the growth of individual players, the team, and the club.
•Analyze Performance through video analysis and individual player development programs.
Recruitment & Scouting Leadership
•Lead the Organization of scouting and recruiting efforts using a "Plan-Act-Reflect-Improve" model.
•Identify Talent at national, regional, and state events to bring in top players who align with the SSM mission.
•Execute Outreach with a disciplined, determined, and relationship-oriented approach to building the future of the program.
Mentorship & Mission
•Academic Advising: Encourage and plan for the holistic growth of student-athletes.
•Residential Duties: Fulfill student advisory and residential responsibilities as part of the boarding school community.
•Team-First Mentality: Ensure all program activities align with the SSM mission of cultivating citizens of integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Elite Playing Experience: Must have competed at a high level (collegiate or professional) to understand the demands of a high-performance environment. • Growth Mindset: While extensive coaching experience is not required, a strong desire to master the craft of coaching in an elite setting is essential. • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to be detailed, organized, and a self-starter, especially regarding recruiting logistics. • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. • Licensing: USSF “C” license preferred.
