Account Executive, Group Sales - $45,000 -$55,000 annually 

Position Summary: The Account Executive, Group Sales is crucial in driving revenue and growth by servicing and renewing the Minnesota Major league Volleyball fan base while acquiring new clients. This role focuses on working closely with the Manager, Ticketing Sales and Service to achieve revenue targets and provide exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Drive new business and achieve sales goals through proactive outreach.
    • Achieve or exceed business development goals through cold calling, networking, and following up on referrals.
    • Make 60+ outgoing calls per day to generate new business for group, season ticket, partial, and suite sales.
    • Present group sales offerings to new clients in person or virtually.
    • Set and meet face-to-face appointment goals and develop creative opportunities for new business.
    • Work closely with the Ticket Management team to execute strategies that meet departmental revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain meaningful client relationships.
    • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients by being an advocate for the organization.
    • Conduct regular touchpoints such as meetings, calls, and lunches to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
    • Provide a personalized and positive experience for clients, ensuring their needs are met.
    • Follow through on all commitments and follow up with clients promptly to ensure satisfaction and drive repeat business.
    • Uphold a “Service First” mentality when working with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
    • Foster strong relationships internally and externally, ensuring communication is clear, timely, and professional.
  • Deliver outstanding service and operational excellence.
    • Contribute to creating memorable experiences for every guest by setting up, preparing, and ensuring safety protocols during events.
    • Address and resolve guest questions, concerns, and issues in a calm and professional manner.
    • Focus on executing flawless, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Maintain sales technology and ensure accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least one year of sales experience, preferably including cold calling.
  • Proficient computer skills including ability to work with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Must have, and maintain, a positive attitude while demonstrating a passion for sports and sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to multitask and maintain deadlines in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with high standards for quality; ability to keep accurate and detailed records.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team and results oriented environment.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events. 
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
