Summary Cedarville University seeks an Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer to support the Head Coach in all aspects of a competitive NCAA program. This role plays a key part in recruiting, player development, practice planning, and day-to-day program operations, while helping cultivate a Christ-centered team culture. The Assistant Coach will coach on the field, mentor student-athletes academically and spiritually, and contribute to the overall success and integrity of the program.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred

Previous coaching experience required (collegiate experience preferred)

Collegiate playing experience preferred

Commitment to Cedarville University’s Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and Workplace Standards

Strong character, work ethic, and ability to mentor student-athletes

Effective communicator with players, parents, coaches, and recruits

Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance (DI or DII experience preferred)

Experience with recruiting, scouting, and player evaluation

Ability to plan and lead practices and instruct soccer techniques and tactics

Preferred coaching credentials (USC National Diploma or U.S. Soccer D or C License)

Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively

Ability to travel, lift up to 25 lbs., and maintain required certifications (First Aid/CPR)

Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
