Main goal

The Women's Football Player Development Expert drives the effective delivery of UEFA’s women’s football strategy by strengthening player pathways from grassroots to elite and advancing talent identification across all UEFA member associations.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading and executing strategic projects aimed at supporting the objectives and actions outlined in Unstoppable, UEFA’s women’s football strategy for 2024–30
  • Directing programmes and supporting national associations with the development of elite youth female players
  • Mapping and assessing female player pathways from grassroots to elite across all 55 UEFA member associations
  • Developing, delivering and overseeing UEFA talent development programmes and supporting national associations with their implementation
  • Providing direct support to national associations and stakeholders with regard to player talent identification, pathways and structures
  • Offering insight into new systems, tools and data systems
  • Collaborating with the coaching development, grassroots and player development teams to provide holistic support to national associations
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing, organising workshops and events and managing a core group of technical experts

Requirements

Experience:

  • From three to five years' experience in a similar role in a football club or association
  • Experience as a football player (high level)

Education:

  • Bachelor's in sport management, sport science, physical education, sport coaching or equivalent

Languages:

  • English / Proficient
  • Any other language would be an asset

Other requirements:

  • Strong interest in women’s football development and player development
  • Holding a UEFA coaching license (UEFA B or above) would be an asset
  • Good general football knowledge
  • Project Management / Proficient
  • MS Office / Advanced
