Position Summary

The Vice President, Partnership Sales at Bay FC is a senior commercial leader responsible for building, scaling, and leading a high-performing sponsorship sales organization within a fast-paced, innovative, and growth-oriented environment. This role owns the vision, strategy, and execution of integrated partnership revenue across regional, national, and global brands, with a mandate to position the club as an industry-leading premier franchise within the NWSL and broader sports and entertainment industries. 

This leader will operate as a growth catalyst and cultural leader functioning like a player-coach—setting strategy while remaining actively involved in deal development, partner relationships, creative solutioning, and closing high-value sponsorships.  Responsibilities for this role include:

Revenue Strategy & Growth 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship revenue strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives. 
  • Drive new business acquisition while expanding and renewing existing partnerships across multiple categories. 
  • Establish aggressive but achievable revenue targets with a disciplined focus on urgency, accountability, and results. 
  • Identify emerging categories, non-traditional partners, and innovative monetization opportunities. 

 

Partnership Development & Activation 

  • Lead the creation of customized, insight-driven partnership marketing programs tailored to brand objectives. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, content, and community teams to deliver integrated, high-impact campaigns. 
  • Ensure partnerships deliver measurable ROI for brands while enhancing the club’s brand equity and fan engagement. 
  • Monitor fulfillment excellence and long-term partner satisfaction. 

 

Team Leadership & Culture 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a best-in-class sponsorship sales team. 
  • Recruit top talent and foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and inclusive sales culture. 
  • Serve as a hands-on leader—modeling best practices in selling, negotiation, and relationship management. 
  • Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and professional development pathways. 

 

Sales Operations & Financial Management 

  • Design (with CRO & HR) and manage compensation plans that motivate performance and align with organizational goals. 
  • Lead sponsorship budgeting, forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting. 
  • Implement scalable sales processes, CRM discipline, and data-driven decision-making. 
  • Partner closely with finance and executive leadership to ensure revenue predictability and operational rigor. 

 

Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration 

  • Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership in shaping the club’s commercial vision. 
  • Collaborate across marketing, communications, operations, and league stakeholders. 
  • Represent the organization externally with brands, agencies, league partners, and industry forums. 

Qualifications 

  • Senior-level sponsorship or revenue leadership experience in professional sports, entertainment/content industries and/or brand marketing/creative agencies. 
  • Proven success leading and managing sales teams in a high-growth, performance-driven environment. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in building customized, integrated partnership marketing campaigns. 
  • Experience working with regional, national, and global brands
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving significant revenue growth. 
  • Experience developing compensation structures, managing budgets, and forecasting revenue. 
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. 


 Compensation 

The starting base salary for this role is $160,000 + commissions.  Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors, including experience, skills, and scope.
