MN Women's Major League Volleyball - Director Corporate Partnership - $70,000 - $90,000 annually
The Director, Corporate Partnership leads the development and execution of strategic sponsorship initiatives that drive long-term revenue growth. This role blends high-level sales expertise with innovative thinking to identify and secure impactful partnerships across a wide range of industries. By fostering strong internal collaboration and maintaining transparency through data-driven reporting, the Director, Corporate Partnership ensures alignment with organizational goals. This individual also builds and inspires a high-performing corporate sales team while cultivating meaningful relationships with partners at all levels.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Drive strategic sponsorship sales through prospecting, pitching, and closing high-value partnerships.
- Research, identify, and track sponsorship prospects regionally, nationally, and internationally within target industries and segments.
- Prospect, pitch, and close new sponsorship deals in support of individual and department revenue goals.
- Develop key sales strategies and go-to-market initiatives to generate long-term partnership revenue streams.
- Assist in the sourcing of new sources of revenue generation through researching emerging industries and licensing opportunities.
- Lead sales operations and reporting to ensure accountability and revenue growth.
- Oversee sales reporting and sponsorship prospect pipeline to ensure transparency and organizational visibility into sales activity.
- Provide weekly reporting of sales metrics including pipeline generation, account status, revenue and goal attainment, and relevant sponsor interaction.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to assist in the development of annual revenue and operating budget.
- Deliver exceptional, high-level service and relationship management to corporate partners.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for key corporate partners, ensuring a best-in-class experience throughout the lifecycle of each partnership.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with corporate partners by understanding their business objectives and delivering customized, value-driven solutions.
- Oversee the execution and fulfillment of partnership agreements, ensuring all contractual elements, activations, and deliverables are met or exceeded.
- Marketing and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication, alignment, and execution of partner initiatives.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance partner value, drive renewals, and expand partnerships through upsell, cross-sell, and long-term strategic planning.
- Act as a strategic advisor to corporate partners by providing insights, performance reporting, and recommendations that demonstrate ROI and reinforce long-term partnership value.
- Build and lead a high-performance team while driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Build and lead an innovative, best-in-class partnership sales team that meets and exceeds organizational expectations.
- Lead and direct ongoing sponsorship sales presentations with internal and external partners; develop positive relationships with prospects to execute against short- and long-term strategic sponsorship sales plans.
- Collaborate and partner with Minnesota Wild sponsorship team to maximize cross-property sales and activation opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Sports Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
- At least five years of sales and business development experience in the sports and entertainment industry.
- At least two years of management experience.
- Consistent history of achieving sales goals.
- Experience developing and selling fully integrated sponsorship packages utilizing a variety of assets including (i.e. entitlement rights, in-venue visibility, digital media, broadcast media, social media assets, etc.).
- Experience developing engaging and impactful sales plans and presentations, promotional campaigns, proposals and associated contract negotiations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Conditions:
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
- Minimum travel required.
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
- Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
