NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at the Sports Illustrated Stadium (formerly Red Bull Arena) in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking enthusiastic, energetic Team GFC Leads to support the Senior Manager, Fan Experience and team in leading Team GFC on game days. Leads will help ensure smooth execution of all game-day activations and fan-engagement initiatives, contributing to an unforgettable experience for our fans. They will also attend front office Run of Show (ROS) meetings ahead of matchdays to ensure all game-day needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Manager and Associate, Fan Experience, in leading Team GFC members on game days.
- Ensure the flawless, high-energy execution of all assigned duties, including fan activations, meet & greets, in- game entertainment, and crowd engagement.
- Act as brand ambassadors by speaking positively and knowledgeably about Gotham FC.
- For sponsored activations, learn and deliver scripted brand talking points on behalf of Gotham FC partners.
- Be well-versed in all gameday activities, schedules, and stadium activations, including stadium policies.
- Lead by example, maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism while directing and motivating the Team GFC Members.
- Delegate, oversee, and assist with pre and post-event setup and breakdown, ensuring efficiency in moving equipment, setting up activations and hospitality spaces, and other matchday needs as they arise. Proactively identify and address any game day operational needs to ensure a seamless experience for fans.
- Deliver white-glove service for Gotham FC’s most important clients and guests, including but not limited to serving as Warm-Up Watcher escorts, guiding VIPs from hospitality spaces to the field level.
- Select team members may be asked to be part of specialty programming, such as group sales giveaways, ticketing activations, and VIP experiences, as needed.
- Invited and strongly encouraged to attend front office Run of Show (ROS) meetings ahead of matchdays to ensure all game day needs are met.
- Serve as a liaison between Team GFC and the Fan Experience leadership team, relaying key information from ROS meetings on site.
- Operate contests & fan engagement moments.
- Support and staff non-game day special activations, season ticket member events, street team initiatives as needed during and after the National Women’s Soccer League season, including set-up, breakdown, and staffing during the event.
Qualifications:
- Be a fan-facing representative of Gotham FC and uphold the Gotham FC brand.
- Treat all fans with care and respect as an ambassador and host representing Gotham FC.
- Must have completed at least one season as a Gotham FC Hype Crew member to qualify for a lead position.
Capability & Other Characteristics:
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes or items weighing up to 50 lbs as part of regular job duties.
- Flexible with the ability to multitask.
- Comfortable interacting with large numbers of new people.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach by anticipating needs, taking initiative, and addressing issues before they arise.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

- Treat all fans, guests, and partners with care, professionalism, and respect.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Work Schedule & Time Commitment Requirements:
- Team GFC Members must be available to work up to 12 of the 15 Gotham FC home matches throughout the season. Individual scheduling may vary based on matchday needs and operational requirements.
- Fan Fest is outdoors, 2 hours in length, and begins 2.5 hours prior to the match kickoff.
- Team GFC Leads must arrive 3-4 hours prior to the start of Fan Fest for preparation and setup, assisting the Fan Experience team with role delegation and team oversight.
- Typical matchday shifts range from 6-12 hours, depending on role assignment and operational needs.
- Work schedules will be provided in advance of each match.
- Team GFC Leads must review Run of Show documents prior to each matchday.
- Team GFC Leads will have first right of acceptance or refusal to work additional hours for non-match events, including but not limited to watch parties, season ticket member events, grassroots marketing initiatives, and other club-related events as opportunities arise.
- Additional training and meetings may be required and/or strongly encouraged throughout the season.
