Job Description

FableticsOS is seeking a Senior Lease Accountant

How Do You Fit In?

As a Senior Lease Accountant, you will oversee all aspects of lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842. This includes recording right-of-use assets and liabilities, rent and related expenses, tenant allowances, and preparing monthly rent payments. You will also manage month-end close procedures, perform trend analysis, and prepare supporting schedules. This role offers broad exposure to the business and the opportunity to partner across multiple fashion brands.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, is technically proficient, and thrives on problem-solving while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

This position will report to the VP, Accounting

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the end-to-end lease accounting process in accordance with ASC 842
  • Review lease contracts and other transactions for appropriate accounting treatment
  • Record and account for tenant allowances, lease incentives and other lease-related adjustments
  • Prepare, review and reconcile the monthly rent payments
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of lease-related journal entries, amortization schedules and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Real Estate, FP&A, Legal and Operations) to ensure lease data is complete and accurate
  • Maintain and oversee lease accounting schedules, including straight-line rent and right-of-use assets and liabilities
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
  • Assist with external audits by providing detailed lease documentation and schedules
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation within the lease accounting function
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for lease accounting and provide guidance across the organization
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and support other projects as necessary

What You Can Bring:

  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years focused on lease accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on ASC 842
  • Experience with lease accounting software (CoStar preferred)
  • Proficiency with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • CPA designation preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

The annual base salary range for this position is from $75,600-$114,400. The range provided includes the base salary that FableticsOS expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
