Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Design and implement strategic recruitment initiatives tailored to attract world-class athletes, coaches, and staff.
- Develop and manage proactive talent pipelines both domestically and internationally.
- Write compelling job descriptions and manage postings across platforms and channels.
- Represent LOVB at recruitment events, showcases, and conferences.
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective candidates, agents, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure every candidate receives a professional, inclusive, and brand-reflective experience.
- Own and optimize LOVB’s applicant tracking system (PayCor), keeping candidate data accurate and current.
- Partner with People Success to build and execute a high-impact onboarding experience.
- Collaborate with Legal to manage international visa processes and ensure timely, compliant immigration documentation.
- Support contract development and execution to protect the organization while securing talent efficiently
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience in volleyball or elite sport environments.
- Deep understanding of the volleyball ecosystem, both in the U.S. and globally.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- High level of organizational and project management ability.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities in a startup setting.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Paycor (or similar ATS), and collaboration tools like Slack.
- Ability to travel as needed based on the season and recruitment calendar.
- Strategic thinkers with a builder mindset—can design systems and execute details.
- Operates with integrity, confidentiality, and a people-first approach.
- Clear communicator who listens actively and adapts to audience and context.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven with a strong bias for action.
- Energized by travel, relationship building, and shaping something new.

Education and Experience:
- Background in volleyball required (athlete, coach, or administrator).
- Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Remote role with frequent travel (~30–50%) during regular and preseason periods.
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed during season and recruitment peaks.
- Requires consistent access to reliable internet and professional communication setup.
- Ability to sit, stand, and travel for extended periods; lift and carry materials up to 25 lbs.
Location: This is a remotely based position, ideally located near one of our Pro cities: Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Omaha, Salt Lake City.
