The Role: 
The Player Services Officer serves as the primary point of contact for players, supporting the Operations Manager to ensure a seamless and positive experience on and off the pitch. This role is key in delivering exceptional service, assisting with player onboarding, relocation, housing, ticketing, and broader personal support to help players integrate smoothly into the team and their new environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, discretion, and professionalism, with the flexibility to work outside normal office hours, including travel to training camps, fixtures, and events both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Player Onboarding & Support:

  • Support administration and logistics for player onboarding and integration, working with Club Secretarial & Player Care Departments.
  • Assist with housing, car leasing, utilities, banking, and other personal needs, ensuring players feel supported and informed.
  • Coordinate transport and accommodation for players and staff in collaboration with the Travel Department.
  • Provide language support and guidance to players and their relatives as required.
  • Manage player/club postal deliveries and administrative onboarding tasks.

Point of Contact for Player Requests:

  • Serve as primary contact for ticket requests, matchday needs (e.g., parking), fan engagement, and post-match activations.
  • Maintain accurate player data in FA Whole Game & iFAS systems.
  • Coordinate team events and liaise with Player Support, Wellbeing Officer, Performance Psychologist, and Travel Department for on/off-field requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Women’s Team department as needed.

Matchday & Training Operations:

  • Assist Operations Manager with planning and delivering all home matchday operations, ticketing, and hospitality.
  • Liaise with away teams, officials, and league representatives when needed.
  • Support documentation and accreditation requirements, ensuring players are fully informed.
  • Travel for away games, training camps, and events domestically and internationally.
  • Assist with player commercial appearances and ad hoc ticketing requests.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships across club functions and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support collaboration with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Process requisitions and purchase orders as required.

The Person: 

  • Experience working with athletes or in a sports environment, ideally in player support or customer service roles.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexible and proactive, willing to support players with a wide range of needs
