Nature of Work:
The Player Care Manager will serve as a crucial point of contact for all players and their families, supporting their transition to the Denver area and establishing their new lives within the community. This individual will  handle the  day-to-day administration of  player care, including onboarding and family support.

This role acts as a vital link between the players and the club's technical, administrative, and operations staff. The Player Care Manager will be a trusted confidant for players, addressing their personal questions and providing support. By building strong relationships with key stakeholders, this individual will play a significant role in maintaining the club's culture, fostering effective communication, and ensuring a professional experience for everyone involved.

Examples of work performed:
General:
  • Serve as a resource for all players and their families.
  • Work with the Soccer Operations, Medical & Performance, and Technical Departments in all aspects of player experience and needs.
  • Have a good understanding of different cultures, backgrounds, and faiths to offer support to players from abroad or domestically.
  • Work with the Operations department and Technical Staff for player onboarding and relocation.
  • Assist in player accommodations, housing setup, or viewings.
  • Provide player support with deliveries, onboarding, and relocation.
  • Ensure a smooth transition into Denver life for players and their families.
  • Assist players with any needed paperwork for setting up in the Denver area pertaining to travel, vehicles, licensing, and accommodations.
  • Handle ticket requests for both home and away matches, point of contact on match days for friends and family of players/staff.
  • Assist and work across Denver Summit FC Departments for player appearances, being the point of contact for players, ensuring management of player arrival, departure, and any information the player will need.
  • Coordinate player signing/autograph requests.
  • Look to develop a program to assist players looking for language learning and coordinate any needs for translators.
  • Build a network of contacts to aid in supporting player and family lifestyle needs, such as schools/daycare for players’ children, visas, green cards, driver’s licenses, etc.
  • Provide a consistent range of support to players, players’ families, coaches, and coaches’ families during their tenure as part of the Denver Summit FC organization.
  • Collaborate with and exchange information between Soccer Operations and Technical Staff of Denver Summit FC.
  • Provide any needed support for Denver Summit FC leadership, First Team, Technical Staff and others in accordance with NWSL league guidelines.
  • Lead projects as assigned by GM or Director of Team Operations and Player Care or other Management staff within the Denver Summit FC organization.
Training / Equipment / Travel:
  • Be present at training and home games for any support needed for the first-team players, coaching staff, or operations staff.
  • Work with the Director of Team Operations and Player Care & Equipment Manager as needed for any pre-training setup and post-training player support.
  • Assist with transportation and delivery of team equipment for away matches and preseason training camp.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Team Operations and Player Care on player travel logistics, on-site for player pickups, meets, and airport facilitation.
  • Travel with the team at all away-games.
Player Development:
  • Provide logistical support with any player programming.
  • Aid in the development and logistical support of player programming, workshops, and panel discussions.
  • Support with establishing contacts within the player care and wellness industry.
  • Establish and maintain best practices of Player Care within the sports industry and develop and implement Denver Summit FC Player-Care Team guidelines and codes of conduct.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Typical Office Conditions in addition to the below
  • Lift 50 lbs. daily
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to work in a moderate to very loud environment
  • Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e. heat, rain, cold, snow, wind).

Qualifications:
Minimum
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management/Business, Social Work, or Hospitality.
  • 2+ years of experience in player support and/or sports teams.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Ability to travel, night and weekend/holiday work. 
  • Ability to work all home games.
Preferred
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.

Compensation:
  • Base salary range $60,000-$80,000 per annum
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
