Minnesota, The Head Coach is responsible for directing, organizing, and administering all aspects of the sport program, including planning practices, developing game strategies, coordinating competition schedules, and managing the program budget. This role oversees all administrative functions of the program, including opponent scouting, film review, and preparation of scouting reports. The Head Coach hires, trains, and supervises assistant coaches and volunteers while fostering a positive, inclusive team culture that supports student-athlete growth. Responsibilities also include organizing alumni engagement and fundraising efforts, attending department meetings and athletic events, and providing guidance and support to student-athletes.
The Head Coach actively recruits qualified student-athletes by developing and executing a comprehensive recruiting plan that attracts a diverse and talented pool of prospects who can succeed athletically, academically, and socially. This includes evaluating prospects, maintaining consistent communication with recruits, families, and club/high school coaches, coordinating campus visits, and collaborating closely with admissions.
The position requires full compliance with all NCAA Division III, MIAC, and institutional policies, while supporting the college’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community. The Head Coach is expected to complete required trainings, meet performance management deadlines, and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 2+ years of high school, club or college coaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree.
Experience: 4+ years of college coaching experience.
