Staten Island, New York, Wagner College, a NCAA Division I member of the NEC is accepting applications for the position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
Responsibilities:
1.Coach team members individually and in groups, and demonstrate techniques appropriate for each player and position
2.Develop, teach and implement game strategies for the team
3.Plan coaching and practice sessions in accordance with NCAA and Northeast Conference regulations
4.Improve overall skills by skill instruction for individual player in their respective position, with assistance from assistant coaches
5.Teach student-athletes about the rules of the game
6.Teach and encourage good sportsmanship on and off the soccer field
7.Teach, monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program
8.Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans
through appropriate staff when needed
9.Recruit quality prospective student-athletes and ensure timely submission of their
academic records for admissions
10.Hire qualified staff members to create a successful team
11.Manage all operational, fiscal, and administrative activities for the women’s soccer
program
