Athens, West Virginia, Concord University is seeking an energetic leader to serve as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
This full-time, 11-month position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a competitive NCAA Division II women’s soccer program while also playing a pivotal role in the academic development and success of student-athletes across all sports.
As Head Coach, you will be responsible for building a championship-caliber team culture rooted in integrity, discipline, and excellence both on and off the field. You will lead all aspects of the program, from recruiting and player development to strategic planning, game-day execution, and program administration.

Duties and Responsibilities
*Lead all aspects of the women’s soccer program, including:
*Recruitment and retention of student-athletes
*Practice planning and game-day coaching
*Scheduling and team travel coordination
*Player development and team culture building
*Budget management and fundraising initiatives
*Compliance with NCAA, MEC, and university policies
Minimum Education
Bachelor's
Required Licenses/Certification
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred, ideally in Physical Education, Coaching Education, Sport Management, or a related field

Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop student-athletes and staff in a collaborative, goal-oriented environment.
Recruiting Expertise: Demonstrated success in identifying and attracting high-caliber student-athletes who align with the university’s academic and athletic standards.
Academic Support Knowledge: Familiarity with academic advising, NCAA eligibility requirements, and student support strategies for at-risk populations.
Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience using academic and athletic performance data to inform coaching strategies and academic interventions.
Conflict Resolution and Mentorship: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor student-athletes and resolve challenges with empathy and professionalism.
Technology Proficiency: Competence with software platforms related to athletic performance analysis, academic tracking, and communication (e.g., Hudl, ARMS , Teamworks, Banner, or similar systems).
Fundraising and Community Engagement: Experience in organizing fundraising initiatives and building relationships with alumni, donors, and local community partners.
