Head Women’s Basketball Coach
The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and success of the women’s basketball
program. This includes tactical preparation, fiscal management, recruitment of student-athletes, and ensuring the program aligns
with the university's mission of academic and athletic excellence.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the women’s basketball program, including practice planning and game-day management.
Develop and implement long-term strategic visions for program growth and competitive success.
Recruit high-caliber student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of Westcliff University.
Manage the program budget, including travel, equipment, and scholarship allocations.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaching staff and graduate assistants.
Ensure full compliance with NAIA and university regulations.
Monitor and support the academic progress and retention of student-athletes.
Handle other projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
CPR/AED Certification
Minimum 1 year of experience coaching Women’s Basketball in the college atmosphere or equivalent elite-level experience
Knowledge of NAIA rules, expectations, and procedures related to Women’s Basketball
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage Women’s Basketball staff and students
Preferred:
Master’s Degree
1 year of experience coaching Women’s Basketball at the college level within the NAIA
