    Head Girls Volleyball Coaching position

     

    The Byron High Girls Volleyball Team is looking for a head coach.  This coach will have the opportunity to guide and direct the team in practices and competitions. The coach will place emphasis on individual development and growth over the length of the season. Practices occur at Byron High School.  

     

    Responsibilities:

     
    • Program development grades 7-12, lends support to the activities department, the program, and to the vision and mission of the district.

    • Assists in the evaluation of assistant coaches and submits recommendations in writing.  

    • Directs pre-season meetings with parents, athletes and coaches as well as in-season staff and athlete meetings.

    • Communication: Maintain effective communication with players, parents, assistant coaches, and activities office.

     

    Qualifications:

     
    • Coaching experience: Previous experience as a head or assistant coach, preferably at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred.

    • Playing experience: A strong understanding of the game, including rules, strategies, and techniques, often gained through playing at the high school, club, or collegiate level.

    • Must have sound knowledge and background of the sport they are coaching.

    • Must be able to relate to student-athletes in a positive manner and be a good role model.
