Greenville, Pennsylvania, Thiel College seeks an innovative and energetic Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach to lead and advance its NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse program. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the lacrosse program while supporting Thiel’s mission and holistic student development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Direct and oversee all aspects of the women’s lacrosse program, including daily operations, practice planning, and game preparation.

Serve as teacher, mentor, and role model for student-athletes in alignment with Thiel’s mission and values.

Recruit, retain, and graduate quality student-athletes while consistently meeting or exceeding established roster goals.

Develop and implement a strategic recruiting plan that enhances the program’s visibility and competitiveness.

Monitor academic performance, social behavior, and personal growth of student-athletes.

Build and maintain a competitive NCAA Division III competition schedule in collaboration with the Director of Athletics.

Manage the program’s budget with integrity and fiscal responsibility.

Coordinate alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives, and community service activities.

Collaborate with Sports Information and the Office of Communication and Marketing to promote the program’s brand and presence.

Ensure compliance with all NCAA Division III, Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC), and institutional rules and guidelines.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 2–3 years of successful coaching experience (lacrosse or related sport).

Demonstrated competence in recruiting, program building, and student-athlete development.

Strong commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate integrity in all aspects of coaching and administration.
