Position Overview The Head Women's Golf Coach is responsible for the development, organization, and leadership of a newly established NCAA Division III women's golf program at Endicott College. This position presents a unique opportunity to build a competitive program from the ground up within a mission-driven liberal arts institution that values applied academic excellence, competitive athletics, and holistic student development. The Head Coach, Women's Golf is a seasonal, non-benefit-eligible, part-time position. The Head Coach will provide visionary leadership in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, student-athlete development, competitive strategy, and overall program administration. The successful candidate will foster a team culture aligned with the College's commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, inclusion, and academic achievement while establishing a strong foundation for long-term success. Key Responsibilities Program Development & Leadership Launch and build the Women's Golf program from inception, including strategic planning and goal setting. Establish a strong team culture grounded in NCAA Division III philosophy. Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that promotes skill development, competitive excellence, and player growth. Create and manage team policies and procedures. Recruiting & Enrollment Management Identify, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes who align with the academic and cultural mission of a liberal arts institution. Develop recruiting strategies consistent with NCAA Division III guidelines. Build relationships with high school coaches, club programs, and recruiting networks. Collaborate with Admissions to support enrollment goals. Coaching & Student-Athlete Development Plan and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitive preparation. Provide technical instruction, mental performance guidance, and individualized player development plans. Support student-athletes' academic success and personal growth. Foster leadership, accountability, and team cohesion. Competition & Scheduling Develop and manage competition schedules in compliance with NCAA Division III regulations. Coordinate travel logistics, tournament entries, and event management. Represent the college at conference and NCAA meetings as required. Compliance & Administration Ensure full compliance with NCAA Division III rules and conference policies. Manage program budget responsibly. Oversee equipment purchases and inventory. Collaborate with athletics staff on strength and conditioning, sports medicine, communications, and game operations. Community Engagement & Advancement Promote the Women's Golf program on campus and within the broader community. Support fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. Serve as a positive ambassador for the college and athletics department. Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible. Team Player: shows a willingness to collaborate and share information, knowledge and experience with team members. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of competitive golf and coaching principles. Previous coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level. Strong recruiting, organizational, and communication skills. Commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy and student-centered athletics. Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Head coaching experience with a preference of having experience building programs. Collegiate playing experience. Experience in coaching at a high level of golf with collegiate experience preferred. Experience in recruiting high-level academic and athletic student-athletes. The anticipated annual compensation range is $13,000-$15,000 , paid across the fall and spring semesters. The spring appointment is expected to run through June 15 and the fall appointment through October 30. Spring compensation assumes a March 15 start date and may be prorated based on the actual start date. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
