Romeoville, Illinois, The Head Women’s Flag Football Coach and Coordinator of Internal Operations is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Women’s Flag Football program while overseeing departmental initiatives that enhance student-athlete development and campus engagement. This dual-role position includes program management, recruitment, player development, academic support, fundraising, and event coordination, as well as the planning and execution of leadership programming, professional development opportunities, and collaborative initiatives with campus and community partners.

Program Leadership : Plan, schedule, and oversee practices, competitions, and travel arrangements. Develop and implement short- and long-term goals for program growth and success.
Recruitment: Design and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract high-caliber student-athletes. Conduct outreach through communication (calls, emails, letters), manage on-campus visits, and utilize social media to promote the program.
Player Development : Provide instruction and guidance to enhance student-athletes’ technical, tactical, and physical performance. Mentor student-athletes in leadership, sportsmanship, and personal growth
Academic Oversight : Monitor academic progress and ensure student-athletes meet eligibility requirements. Collaborate with academic support staff to encourage classroom success
Event and Game Day Coordination : Organize the team’s competitive schedule, including both home and away contests.
Fundraising and Community Engagement : Lead program fundraising initiatives to enhance resources and build relationships with alumni, donors, and the local community.
Leadership: Ensure compliance with NCAA , conference, and institutional regulations. Manage program budgets, inventory, and required reporting. Supervise program staff, including a graduate assistant
Administrative Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and implement special initiatives focused on areas such as student-athlete leadership, personal development, and life skills.
Serve as the primary liaison between the athletic department and campus partners (e.g., Student Life, Recreation/Club Sports, Campus Dining) to enhance collaboration, provide athletic support for campus events, and identify opportunities for reciprocal engagement
Partner with student organizations, clubs, and campus groups to further integrate athletics into campus life and promote shared school spirit
Coordinate and manage major athletic events such as student-athlete orientations, awards ceremonies, and banquets that celebrate and support the achievements of student-athletes
Organize and oversee professional development opportunities for athletic department staff, including trainings, seminars, and compliance-focused sessions such as Title IX education
Strengthen relationships with campus partners to foster increased engagement and collaboration across the university community.
