ABOUT PORTLAND FIRE:
Professional women’s basketball is returning to Rip City. On September 18, 2024, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) awarded Portland its 15th franchise, bringing the league back to the city for the first time in over two decades. Owned and operated by the Bhathal family through RAJ Sports, the team will make its official debut in 2026 at the Moda Center. Portland is cementing itself as the epicenter of women’s sports, powered by a passionate fan base and a rich basketball culture. THE ROLE:  
The Director of Membership Service reports to the VP Ticket Sales & Service and is responsible for leading the member service and premium service functions for the Portland Fire. This role is responsible for developing and executing a membership platform that increases member satisfaction and retention. They will oversee the day-to-day management of a dedicated team of account managers and premium account managers while also developing service campaigns with the objective of fostering long-term relationships and while also generating new sales opportunities via cross-selling, upselling and client referrals. 
The ideal candidate will be a proven service leader with a history of building high-performing, service-oriented teams, and fostering a positive, high-energy sales culture. They will bring a data-driven approach to member engagement and retention, and they will be deeply committed to delivering an outstanding experience for every member, while striving to exceed all service and sales goals. 
WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO:  
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of service account managers. 
  • Set clear performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. 
  • Utilize CRM data and customer feedback to inform service strategies and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of sales pipelines, helping navigate team members through the sales process to successfully close key accounts. 
  • Develop and execute innovative service campaigns, including annual auto-renewal campaign, to achieve annual revenue goals for all ticketing products. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to seamless member journey from initial purchase to renewal. 
  • Act as a final point of escalation for complex member issues, balancing satisfactory resolutions with business objectives.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE ON OUR TEAM:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or experience in lieu of a degree.  
  • 5+ years of sales/service experience and 3+ years of sales/service management, preferably in professional sports . 
  • History of building high-performing, results-oriented service teams including hiring, training, motivating and developing sales staff.  
  • Track record of consistently exceeding retention and new sales targets.  
  • Strong background in B2B and B2C customer service. 
  • Ability to analyze sales data to inform strategy and decision-making. 
  • Prior Archtics & Salesforce experience preferred.
