THE ROLE:
The CRM Analyst is responsible for the strategic ownership, configuration, governance, and optimization of RAJ Sports’ CRM ecosystem to support ticketing sales, service, marketing, corporate partnerships, and fan engagement across the Portland Thorns (NWSL) and Portland Fire (WNBA).
Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Intelligence, this role ensures CRM functions as both a reliable system of record and the operational execution layer for fan data, workflows, lifecycle management, and revenue reporting. The CRM Analyst plays a critical role in data integrity across systems including CRM, Ticketing systems, marketing automation platforms, and the data warehouse.
WHAT YOU'LL BE UP TO:
- Serve as the day-to-day business owner and administrator of Salesforce CRM
- Design, configure, and optimize objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, automations, and workflows
- Maintain CRM governance standards, naming conventions, and data architecture best practices
- Lead ongoing CRM roadmap planning aligned to revenue and engagement goals
- Ensure CRM scalability across multiple teams and franchises
- Maintain and manage CRM data integrity for all operation departments in CRM system
- Build and optimize lead intake processes across owned and paid channels
- Develop strategic lead routing and assignment rules
- Partner with department leadership on forecasting models and KPI tracking
- Identify workflow improvements that increase sales efficiency and reduce friction
- Partner with Marketing to operationalize segmentation, campaign tracking, and attribution within CRM
- Ensure proper campaign hierarchy and ROI measurement across paid and owned channels
- Support lifecycle strategies including renewals, upsells, cross-sells, retention, and reactivation campaigns
- Manage data imports, validation processes, and deduplication strategies
- Monitor data quality and proactively resolve inconsistencies
- Validate segmentation logic and audience targeting prior to campaign launch
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track pipeline, revenue, retention, and rep performance
- Translate CRM and ticketing data into actionable business insights
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting packages for department leadership
- Partner with BI on Datawarehouse integrations and Tableau reporting alignment
- Maintain CRM documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and system continuity planning and enhancing
CRM Support & Management
- Serve as primary CRM support resource for Ticketing, Marketing, and Partnerships
- Provide user onboarding, training sessions, and office hours
- Develop user guides and best-practice documentation
- Encourage consistent CRM adoption and process adherence
- Troubleshoot user issues in a timely, service-oriented manner
WHAT IT TAKES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field. Master’s in Business, Data Analytics or Sports Management Preferred. Experience in lieu of a degree acceptable.
- Experience in professional sports, entertainment, or consumer-facing industries strongly preferred.
- 3–5+ years experience in CRM management, revenue operations, ticket sales operations, or business analytics (sports or entertainment industry strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience administering Salesforce (required)
- Experience with ticketing systems (SeatGeek, Archtics/Ticketmaster, Paciolan, etc.)
- Strong understanding of sales pipelines, campaign attribution, and lifecycle marketing
- Experience working with automation tools
- Advanced reporting skills (Salesforce reporting required; Tableau/BI tools preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large datasets
- Understanding of relational data structures and integration concepts
- Experience collaborating across multiple business functions
Preferred:
- Experience working in multi-team sports organizations
- Familiarity with data warehouses (Snowflake or similar)
- Experience supporting CRM integrations post-vendor implementation
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong data governance instincts
