We are seeking an experienced and motivated Phoenix Mercury & Valley Suns Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of Community Engagement for the Phoenix Mercury and Valley Suns, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
What You Will Do:
Community Requests
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external community support inquiries for Phoenix Mercury and Valley Suns
- Field, track, and respond to community requests including ticket donations, mascot appearances, and grassroots support
Player 15 Group Donation Management
- Manage inventory, storage, and distribution of community giveaway items
- Manage Street Team to fulfill ticket donations to community partners
- Track donation impact and maintain accurate distribution records
Community Programming & Activations
- Lead planning and execution for key community events, programs and projects tied to Phoenix Mercury & Valley Suns.
- Lead planning and execution of community programming tied to Phoenix Mercury and Valley Suns theme nights
- Represent the Phoenix Mercury and Valley Suns at community events and activations
Volunteer Engagement
- Lead and execute all Phoenix Mercury and Valley Suns volunteer opportunities
- Track volunteer participation and impact metrics
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, Game Presentation, Ticket Sales, and Communications teams on community initiatives
- Support storytelling and content opportunities highlighting community impact
- Assist with department reporting, recaps, and presentations
What We Need from Our Phoenix Mercury & Valley Suns Community Engagement Coordinator:
- Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for community engagement and social impact
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-service mindset with professionalism and responsiveness
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and events as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory or tracking systems. Must be extremely detail-oriented, intuitive, a self-starter, diplomatic, have the ability to manage projects & events, and work with minimal supervision
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in a related field
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
