Role Purpose
The Chief Consumer Officer is the senior executive responsible for driving consumer revenue growth across Hoops Capital, with direct accountability for ticketing, membership, and premium revenue performance across the Sydney Kings and Sydney Flames.
The CCO provides the commercial leadership layer that connects marketing, communications, ticketing, memberships, and fan engagement under one strategic mandate. The role sets the overarching brand, consumer, and digital direction for both clubs, ensures all marketing and content activity is aligned to commercial conversion and measurable revenue outcomes, and provides executive oversight of pricing strategy, membership architecture, and premium experiences.
Working in close partnership with the CEO, the CCO ensures the consumer-facing functions of the business operate as a single commercially aligned engine rather than independent silos. The role also partners with the Chief Commercial Officer to ensure sponsor commitments are integrated into marketing planning and delivery.
This is a critical leadership role that did not previously exist in the business. It is designed to create a single point of accountability for consumer revenue, eliminate structural gaps between marketing activity and commercial outcomes, and ensure the business has the executive capability to deliver on its growth objectives.
Key Outcomes
Who This Role Would Suit
This role is ideally suited to someone who has built and scaled consumer revenue functions from the ground up – whether as a founder, senior commercial leader, or head of a B2C business unit. The ideal candidate has lived the full consumer journey: acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value, and knows how to connect brand and marketing activity directly to commercial outcomes. They will have experience owning P&L, building teams, and making data-driven decisions at pace. They are entrepreneurial, commercially instinctive, and comfortable operating across strategy and execution without needing layers between them and the work. Experience in sport, entertainment, media, subscription, or high-volume consumer industries is highly desirable. The role demands someone who thinks like a business owner, leads with data, and can operate at executive level with the CEO and ownership group.
