Here's a summary of responsibilities:

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for leading all commercial and third-party revenue-generating functions for the organization, including corporate partnerships, merchandise and licensing, premium hospitality and ticketing, and media rights. As a member of the leadership team, the CCO will develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that sustains and drives $4B+ revenue growth (over 8 years), strengthens brand value, enhances fan experiences, and positions the USOPC and its partners for long-term success. This is an exciting time to join the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee as it sets to build a new long-term commercial model in lead up to and beyond the UT34 Games. The ideal candidate is a strategic and innovative executive with deep experience across sports, entertainment, media, and consumer brands, and a proven ability to build high-performing commercial organizations, complex deal structures, and new revenue streams in a fast-paced environment.

Here's how you'll have an impact:

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Leadership
• Develop and lead the organization's identification, negotiations, and stewardship of all third-party partnerships, aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Drive revenue growth across sponsorships, hospitality, licensing, merchandising, media partnerships, and emerging business opportunities.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with sponsors, agencies, media partners, and key stakeholders (IOC, IPC, NBC, UT34, LA28).
• Oversee holistic rights benefit matrix to maintain a strong commercial value proposition and ensure revenue optimization across partnership types

Corporate Sponsorships & Licensees
• Oversee partnership sales, servicing, activation, and retention strategies.
• Ensure delivery of best-in-class partnership and licensing programs that maximize value and ROI for partners and the organization.
• Partner with Brand and Fan Growth and Experiences to encourage partner and licensee activation and amplification of our brand and fan engagement objectives
• Oversee partnership development and impact to continually improve value proposition and integration

Media & Content
• Oversee NBC partnership and identification of opportunities to maximize commercial and fan growth objectives
• Collaborate with media and content teams to expand audience reach, engagement, and monetization opportunities through third-party partnerships
• Lead efforts related to media rights, content licensing, distribution partnerships, and gaming

Leadership & Organizational Development
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and servicing commercial organization.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusion.
• Coordinate and support revenue-generating approaches with Chief Development Officer and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation to maximize opportunities on behalf of Team USA
• Partner with commercial operations to establish KPIs and performance standards across all commercial departments.
• Work cross-functionally with brand, fan growth and experiences, finance, legal, operations, communications, and team leadership to align organizational priorities.
• Utilize business intelligence, CRM data, and market analytics to drive strategic decision-making.
• Monitor industry trends, fan behaviors, sponsorship valuation, and emerging technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of senior leadership experience in sports, entertainment, media, or consumer-facing industries.
• Proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth and leading integrated commercial operations in a complex environment
• Strong expertise in sponsorship and media sales, ticketing, and fan engagement strategies.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and forecasting processes.
• Experience building and managing high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to manage a large variety of complex, cross-functional projects calmly and simultaneously
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in developed sales materials and impact storytelling
• Strong proficiency in budget management and revenue and expense projections
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners
• Strong customer service skills
• Capability to distill information clearly and to explain complex issues with precision and consistency
• Think independently and make decisions
• Passion for sport and the Olympic & Paralympic Movements

National hiring pay range: $385,000-$419,000 per year
This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week. Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 25% target.
