Nampa, Idaho, Northwest Nazarene University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach. This position is a 12-month, full-time exempt position and will report to the Head Women's Volleyball Coach. The individual will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all details of the volleyball program.
Description of Position
This includes, but is not limited to: practice planning, on and off court player development, video and statistical analysis, scouting opponents, match preparation, recruiting, ordering and distributing equipment, academics, eligibility, NCAA documentation, public relations, travel planning, video exchange, camps, fund-raising, and other duties assigned by the head coach.
The assistant coach is expected to assist the head coach in promoting and developing spiritual formation and leadership, academic excellence, competitive spirit and athletic competitiveness, and community engagement.
This position is an exempt, full-time, 12-month (1.0 FTE) position.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Volleyball coaching experience
Sufficient skills, knowledge and training to perform the essential functions of this position
High motivation and commitment to the University, including the ability to self-start, be calm under pressure, meet deadlines, work without direct supervision, be able to multi-task, problem-solve, and relate to a variety of personalities under diverse circumstances
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to pass the annual NCAA Division II recruiting exam
Ability to obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR card
Ability to obtain NNU driving certification
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Collegiate level volleyball coaching experience
Experience recruiting student-athletes
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
