Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Wilmington, Ohio, Basic Function: This position is responsible for assisting with the development, leadership and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III women’s basketball program.

Reports to:?Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Assists in the recruitment of quality student-athletes while maintaining roster expectations

*Maintains awareness of and adheres to College, NCAA and OAC rules and regulations

*Assists in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes

*Assists in practice to optimize team and individual skill development

*Assists in scheduling home and away contests

*Assists in coordinating travel and assists supervising team members during off-campus travel

*Assists in fundraising initiatives that support the program’s budget

*Performs secondary duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

Qualifications:

*Related bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of college or related coaching experience.

*Evidence of excellent coaching and organizational skills.

*Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain quality student-athletes.

*Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
