Winchester, Virginia, Shenandoah University invites applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This is a full-time benefitted positon located on our main campus in Winchester, Va.

This full-time position assists the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with all aspects of an NCAA Division III women’s basketball program.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Assisting with recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes

- Practice planning, skill instruction, and game preparation

- Opponent scouting, video exchange, and film breakdown

- Supporting scheduling, team travel, and program operations

- Monitoring academic progress and supporting student-athlete success

- Ensuring compliance with NCAA Division III, ODAC, and institutional regulations

- Serving as a positive representative of the university and athletics department

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

- 1–3 years of collegiate coaching experience preferred

- Previous collegiate playing experience preferred

- Demonstrated ability to recruit and work with student-athletes in an academically rigorous environment

- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills

- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
