Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Emmitsburg, Maryland, Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will assist the head coach in all facets of the women’s basketball program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Assumes responsibility for at least two of the following basketball program operations: scouting, recruiting coordination, community relations, scheduling, academic supervision, summer camps. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Effectively assist in coaching a competitive basketball program in a manner which promotes sportsmanship among athletes, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, MAAC, and institutional rules and regulations.

Effectively assist in recruiting qualified student athletes to participate in the University’s athletic program and effectively promote Mount St. Mary’s University academic and athletic programs to potential students.

Serves as Recruiting Coordinator to organize all visits and work with the Office of Compliance regarding initial/transfer eligibility.

Excels in a team environment and can execute roles and responsibilities designated by the Head Coach

Manage The Mount Women’s Basketball Social Media Account by Promoting a Positive Brand

Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

$45,000-$63,000/year

(Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.

Must be proficient in Adobe, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
