Hammond, Indiana, Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach and Facilities Events Coordinator
Serve as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach reporting to the Head Women's Basketball Coach.
Assist head coach in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the basketball team.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the head coach with the recruiting, academic oversight, fundraising, and coordinating of camps and coaching clinics.
Maintain knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Assist with athletic facilities and events reporting to the Assistant AD for Facilities.
Plan, organize, schedule and execute utilization of athletic facilities and athletic / recreational / intramural / club sport events.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of set up and breakdown of university and external events in athletic facilities, serving as daily facility manager, and coordinating of camps and coaching clinics.

Education of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach and Facilities Events Coordinator
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness or related program is preferred.
Experience of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach and Facilities Events Coordinator
Two years’ basketball coaching and or facilities experience required at the professional, college or high school level.

Must have strong team building/management skills
Ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to coordinate collaborative efforts
Demonstrated experience in program development, management, and leadership
Ability to interact with members of the public and media
Ability to supervise temporary staff
Understanding of the student-athletes' commitment to academics
Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. occasionally
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to use personal vehicle to drive on behalf of the University
Must meet the Minimum Driver Qualifications as defined by the Use of Vehicles for University Business Policy
As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance relative to those applicable duties.
