East Lansing, Michigan, The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Michigan State University is searching for a candidate to fill the Assistant Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach position for Jumps. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Design and implement programs and practice regimens for student athletes including strength training. 2. Assist in pre-season and in-season training, practices and meets, as well as other areas that pertain to the track and field program. 3. Identify, evaluate, and recruit quality student-athletes. 4. Assist with home meet management. 5. Assist with monitoring academic progress. 6. Manage equipment needs, including purchasing. 7. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
A bachelor's degree is required.
Division I coaching or competitive experience in horizontal and vertical jumps.
Ability to recruit and select highly skilled student athletes.
Must be highly organized and be prepared for lengthy workdays.
Candidate must display a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all the policies, rules and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
Desired Qualifications
Certified strength and conditioning preferred.
