The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is primarily responsible for assisting with program needs as assigned by the Head Coach, including, but not limited to, the following.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, development and administration of certain aspects of the program
Assist in implementation of team policies aligning with the philosophy of the institution
Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes
Assist in academic oversight of student-athletes
Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics as assigned
Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech
Aid the Head Coach in planning and executing field sessions
Assist in player development
Assist in game day strategies and execution
Execute film breakdown and scouting
Oversee equipment and gear maintenance and arrangements.
Develop fundraising strategies
Coordinate travel logistics for on-road contests and other needs
Complete other duties as assigned by the head coach or the athletic director
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
USSF 'D' Coaching license or higher and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 2 Diploma or higher preferred
Experience
1-3 years of coaching experience preferred
Minimum 2 yrs. coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level preferred
Minimum 2 yrs. coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
Working Conditions
Nights and weekends required
Overtime hours required in season
Travel for competitions and recruiting required
