Carolina Ascent FC and Charlotte Independence are seeking a Video Content Producer to support the planning, capture, creation, management, and distribution of video content across the organization. The position is responsible for media relations support, content creation, website management, game day communications operations, and digital content publishing. The ideal candidate is a strong videographer, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about soccer, storytelling, and growing the visibility of professional soccer.

 

The Video Content Producer serves as the lead visual storyteller for Carolina Ascent FC and Charlotte Independence. This position is responsible for conceiving, developing, producing, directing, and editing original video content that advances the clubs' brands, engages supporters, supports commercial partnerships, and elevates the profile of both organizations. The role requires substantial creative discretion, artistic judgment, and independent decision-making in determining visual style, narrative approach, production techniques, and final content presentation.

 

The Video Content Producer will create compelling original content across digital, social, broadcast, sponsorship, and in-stadium platforms while maintaining a consistent creative vision for both clubs. This role also provides creative leadership to the team content photographer and collaborates with marketing, communications, sponsorship, and soccer operations staff to bring strategic storytelling initiatives to life.

·       Conceptualize, develop, and execute original video storytelling projects that enhance brand visibility and fan engagement.

·       Independently determine creative direction, visual style, narrative structure, editing techniques, and production approaches for club content.

·       Produce, direct, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for marketing campaigns, social media platforms, sponsorship initiatives, community engagement programs, and club communications.

·       Develop creative concepts and original content series that showcase players, coaches, supporters, sponsors, and community initiatives.

·       Capture and produce cinematic matchday, training, and behind-the-scenes storytelling content for both clubs.

·       Create original short-form and long-form video content designed to grow audience engagement, brand awareness, and supporter connection.

·       Exercise editorial judgment in selecting, editing, and presenting content to achieve strategic communication and branding objectives.

·       Lead all aspects of video post-production including editing, color grading, motion graphics integration, sound design, and content optimization across platforms.

·       Produce real-time and near real-time creative content for social media and digital channels.

·       Direct and execute media day video productions and maintain archival footage assets.

·       Cover community events, sponsor activations, and organizational initiatives through original visual storytelling.

·       Travel with Carolina Ascent FC and coordinate creative content coverage for Charlotte Independence road matches.

·       Provide creative guidance and oversight to the team content photographer to ensure visual consistency across all club content.

·       Demonstrated experience creating original video content, preferably in sports, entertainment, media, or related creative industries.

·       Exceptional artistic ability, creativity, and visual storytelling skills, demonstrated through a professional portfolio of original work.

·       Proven ability to independently develop creative concepts and transform ideas into compelling visual narratives.

·       Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and related production software.

·       Strong understanding of cinematography, composition, lighting, audio capture, editing techniques, motion graphics, and visual design principles.

·       Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative discretion while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

·       Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

·       Passion for sports storytelling and creating emotionally engaging content.

·       Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required.

·       Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, preferred.

·       This role requires flexibility and availability for home matches, community events, evenings, weekends, and travel based on team schedules.

Full-Time, Exempt

Salary Range - $60,000-$65,000 per year
