Job Summary:
 
The Head of Finance & Administration is responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative operations for LOVB Nebraska. This role provides strategic guidance, ensures fiscal responsibility, and supports sustainable growth through sound planning, analysis, and decision-making. The leader will balance high-level financial strategy with hands-on execution, collaborating with the CEO, ownership, and executive team to drive long-term success for the franchise. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing and managing the core administrative functions of the business including traditional HR and Office functions.
 
The ideal candidate will bring deep financial acumen, proven revenue management experience, and a passion for establishing a highly desirable and collaborative working environment.
 
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 
● Financial Leadership & Strategy
○ Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
○ Partner with CEO/ownership to drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
○ Provide clear financial insights across ticketing, partnerships, merchandise, and events.
 
● Financial Operations & Oversight
○ Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
○ Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and league financial requirements.
○ Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and financial vendors.
○ Establish strong internal controls and ensure accurate reporting.
 
● Revenue & Expense Management
○ Monitor and analyze revenue streams (ticketing, sponsorships, concessions, broadcast, merchandise).
○ Identify cost optimization opportunities while protecting athlete/fan experience.
○ Support sponsorship/vendor/player contract negotiations from a financial perspective.
 
● Administration & Office Management
○ Oversee day-to-day office operations, coordinating with outsourced payroll, benefits, and IT providers.
○ Implement administrative processes that ensure efficiency and scalability.
 
● Leadership & Culture
○ Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership, executives, and board members.
○ Foster and office environment with high morale and trust.
○ Promote a culture of fiscal discipline, accountability, and transparency.
 
Required Skills & Abilities:
 
● Strong leadership presence with ability to advise executives and ownership.
● Proven financial modeling, forecasting, and multi-million-dollar budget oversight.
● Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in a startup/high-growth environment.
● Ability to listen to employees, identify opportunities for improvement, and act accordingly.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
● Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

Education & Experience:
 
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
● MBA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred.
● 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, ideally in sports, entertainment, or live events.
● Demonstrated ability to scale financial operations in a startup/new venture environment.
 
 
Location:
This position is remotely based in Omaha, NE with some travel required. There is no relocation.
