JV Volleyball Coach

Crookston Public Schools is seeking Junior Varsity GirlsVolleyball Coach for the 2026-27 and beyond Season.   Position would begin around August 17, 2026 through the end of the postseason schedule. Will be responsible for daily practices and J.V. games during the volleyball season., and assisting the Head Volleyball Coach with duties as assigned.  Prior Head Coaching experience is not essential, but preferred.  Coaching certificate required.  Qualifications would include a strong background in basketball and the ability to work well with students and staff. 

Position Summary

The Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach is responsible for developing student-athletes through skill instruction, teamwork, sportsmanship, and preparation for the varsity program. The coach will help create a positive and competitive environment that supports student growth both on and off the court.

Responsibilities

• Conduct practices and coach JV volleyball contests
• Teach volleyball fundamentals and team concepts
• Support the philosophy of the varsity volleyball program
• Promote sportsmanship, accountability, and teamwork
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff
• Ensure student-athlete safety and academic success
• Follow all school, district, and Minnesota State High School League rules and regulations

Qualifications

• Volleyball coaching or playing experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must meet all district and MSHSL coaching requirements
