    JV Coach - Girls Volleyball 

    Description

    Richmond County Public Schools is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as the Head Coach for the JV Girls Volleyball program at Rappahannock High School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for volleyball, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture. 

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Maintain and lead the JV Girls Volleyball program.
    • Foster positive communication with parents, athletes, and potential athletes.
    • Assist with coordinating off-season camps and conditioning programs.
    • Encourage good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport.
    • Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athlete development.
    • Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Richmond County Public Schools.
    • Knows and understands the basic volleyball rules and regulations

    Reports To: Athletic Director and Principal

    Qualifications:

    • Prior coaching experience.

    The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and a demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals. 

    Required Skills & Abilities:

    • Language: Ability to read and interpret professional materials, complete forms, write reports, and communicate effectively.
    • Reasoning: Problem-solving and ability to follow written, oral, and diagrammed instructions.
    • Other Abilities: Ability to identify student needs and build effective relationships with students, staff, administrators, and parents.
    • Physical Demands: Ability to communicate in a busy environment, move around gymnasiums, and read materials.
    • Attendance: Regular attendance, including frequent evening and weekend work, is required.
