Gwynedd Mercy University is launching a Women's Flag Football program and is searching for a Head Coach to build it from the ground up. This is a part time position with a heavy focus on recruiting academically qualified student athletes to form the foundation of a new program.
The Head Coach will oversee every part of the program in both traditional and non traditional seasons. That includes conditioning, recruiting, scouting, scheduling, travel, equipment, budget management, fundraising and monitoring the academic progress of student athletes. The right candidate will set the culture from day one, recruit a first class that competes at a high level in the classroom and on the field, and represent Gwynedd Mercy University with integrity in the Atlantic East Conference.
Responsibilities
Coach and train student athletes in the sport of Women's Flag Football
Plan, direct and manage all aspects of the program including conditioning, recruiting, scouting, scheduling, travel, equipment, budget and fundraising
Ensure compliance with NCAA, Atlantic East Conference and university policies
Meet recruiting goals established by the Director of Athletics
Maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
Monitor program budget and fundraising account
Attend department staff meetings and university functions
Represent the university at conference coaches meetings
Other duties as assigned
This is a ground floor opportunity to build a program at one of the region's most active NCAA Division III institutions.
