Organization Overview
Hang Time is a podcast and membership platform dedicated to amplifying women in sports. From our flagship podcast, Hang Time, to happy hours and panels, we work to create spaces for women in sports to connect and learn from each other.

Position: Fall Internship
Duration: August through mid-December 2026
Commitment: 10–15 hours per week
Location: St. Louis, MO

Note: This internship is currently structured to meet requirements for college credit and provide career-building experience.

Position Summary

The Hang Time intern will gain hands-on experience across organizational operations, event planning, marketing, and leadership programming. This internship offers valuable exposure to the sports industry while advancing our mission to amplify the stories of women in sports.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

  • Support operations oversight and assist with day-to-day organizational activities
  • Maintain the member database and contact information

Event Management

  • Assist with planning and executing networking events, workshops, and professional development sessions
  • Help coordinate speaker/panelist outreach and event logistics
  • Support member engagement initiatives and community-building activities
  • Assist with program evaluation and feedback collection

Marketing and Communications

  • Assist with content creation and scheduling for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Help maintain and update website content
  • Support graphic design needs for events and promotional materials

Community Outreach

  • Assist with outreach to local sports organizations and businesses
  • Help develop relationships with St. Louis sports teams and venues

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the Greater St. Louis area
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Social media familiarity and basic digital marketing knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Passion for women's sports and storytelling

Preferred

  • Experience with event planning
  • Background in sports management, business, marketing, or communications
  • Familiarity with the St. Louis sports landscape
  • Graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut)
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this internship, you will have:

  • Gained a comprehensive understanding of the business operations of a small membership media platform
  • Developed a professional network within the St. Louis sports community
  • Enhanced project management and event coordination skills
  • Strengthened digital marketing and social media expertise
  • Contributed to meaningful initiatives supporting women in sports
