Add to that a remote-first organization with talented, supportive teammates across Canada and maybe this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About The League

The Northern Super League is Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league, dedicated to growing the sport and engaging passionate fans nationwide.

In our inaugural season, we ranked among the top five women’s soccer leagues in global attendance, welcoming over 300,000 fans to stadiums, reaching more than three million Canadians through broadcasts, and seeing more than 25 players called up to their national teams.

As we enter season two, we’re seeking a Director, Fan Analytics to build and operate the NSL’s centralized data and analytics ecosystem.

About The Role

As our first dedicated analytics person, you’ll establish the data foundations, analytics capabilities, and measurement frameworks that enable the NSL to monetize fan interest effectively. You'll work at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and sports operations, with direct impact on how the League and Clubs understand and grow their fanbases.

You’ll be a strategic partner to both League leadership and Club business operations teams, transforming fan data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, improve fan engagement, and support evidence-based decision making across ticketing, marketing, sponsorship, and digital operations.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Create audience insights that power targeted marketing and personalized engagement
  • Help clubs focus on high-value fans and improve acquisition and retention

  • Create playbooks and templates to make insights accessibleBuild a strong, shared data-driven culture across the organization

About You

This role will appeal to you if you love building something from scratch and thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, working comfortably with both data and people. You’re proactive, endlessly curious, and bring a growth mindset, able to see the big picture while staying grounded in operational detail. You’re a clear communicator who translates technical insights for non-technical stakeholders, a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, and a collaborative partner across League and Club stakeholders, with a genuine passion for women’s sports and a willingness to roll up your sleeves while also shaping strategic direction.

If that sounds like you, we hope to see your application. Additionally, these qualifications will help you stand out from the crowd:

  • 5-7+ years in analytics roles, ideally in sports, entertainment, or consumer-facing industries, including digital marketing analytics
  • Proven track record building analytics infrastructure from scratch or transforming data capabilities
  • Deep experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and fan data environments
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), and statistical analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and technology teams
  • Familiarity with ticketing platforms (e.g., Ticketmaster), customer data platforms (e.g., Tradable Bits, StellarAlgo, KORE, etc.), and marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp)
  • Background in predictive modeling, machine learning, or advanced analytics
  • Experience supporting multiple business units or markets with centralized analytics
  • Comfort in startup or high-growth environments
