Position Summary
The Part-Time Coordinator, Social Media is responsible for leading Vancouver Rise FC Academy (British Columbia Premier League) matchday social media coverage and supporting Vancouver Rise FC First Team (Northern Super League) matchday social coverage and promotional content capture, as needed. This role is ideal for university students or recent graduates with experience in social media who are passionate about working in professional sports.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Vancouver Rise FC Academy (British Columbia Premier League) matchday social media coverage, including real-time content creation, live posting, photo and video editing, and graphic production, while adhering to club brand guidelines and approval processes.
• Coordinate with photographer to access live photos.
• Monitor and engage communication with fans across all social media platforms in real-time.
• Support with Vancouver Rise FC First Team (Northern Super League) matchdays through real-time content capture, editing, and publishing across the club's social channels, including X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Provide occasional support with filming and editing short-form video content, including Reels and TikToks, for Vancouver Rise FC First Team training days, as needed.
Qualifications
• Education or experience in social media, digital media, or related fields.
• Passion for soccer, sport, and social media.
• Strong knowledge of soccer is an asset.
• Knowledge of emerging platforms such as TikTok and Reels, as well as other social media platforms including Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Experience creating and editing short-form social content for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite to create graphics, edit video, and produce photo content is an asset.
• Quick learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Must be available for all Vancouver Rise FC matches at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby and Vancouver Rise FC Academy matches at UBC.
