Join the newest addition to the WNBA family as we bring professional women's basketball to Canada! The Toronto Tempo is the WNBA's 14th franchise and first Canadian team set to tip off this May. We are seeking a dynamic, charismatic, go-getter as our Coordinator, Game Entertainment reporting to the Director, Game Presentation. This individual will be joining the Tempo on a full-time contract role from June – September 31st, with possibility of extension until October 31st, 2026.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator, Game Entertainment plays a key role in bringing the energy of the Toronto Tempo experience to life. Reporting to the Director, Game Presentation, this role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of live entertainment, fan engagement initiatives, and special events that help create an unforgettable home-court atmosphere. From researching anthem singers and halftime talent, to supporting entertainment crews, stage management, mascot operations, and promo teams, this role sits at the center of the creativity and execution behind the Toronto Tempo game-day experience. The Coordinator, Game Entertainment will help shape the in-arena atmosphere by supporting performers, managing entertainment logistics, coordinating live elements, and contributing fresh ideas that elevate fan engagement and build a true home-court advantage.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Game Entertainment & Live Production

• Support execution of all Toronto Tempo home games, including pregame ceremonies, in-game entertainment, halftime performances, and fan engagement activations.

• Assist in building dynamic, high-energy game presentations that reflect the Toronto Tempo brand and fan experience vision.

• Research, source, support outreach and book for anthem performers, halftime entertainment, cultural performers, DJs, hosts, and emerging local talent.

• Coordinate entertainment logistics including scheduling, rehearsals, credentialing, hospitality, arrivals, and backstage operations.

• Support the development and execution of run-of-show documents, scripts, cue sheets, and game-day timelines.

• Assist with live production execution in-arena, ensuring strong communication between entertainment, production, and operations teams.

• Help coordinate mascot appearances, theme nights, and special entertainment programming throughout the season.

Entertainment Teams, Props & Stage Management Support

• Support stage managers and act as a lead for game presentation staff during games and events.

• Source and purchase props to support hype team and mascot.

• Help coordinate part-time entertainment crews, promo teams, and game-day staff.

• Assist with staff scheduling, communication, training, and game-day assignments.

• Foster a fun, energetic, and collaborative environment for performers and entertainment staff.

• Support rehearsals, on-court transitions, talent movements, and live entertainment timing during events.

• Gain hands-on experience in leadership, live event management, and the inside working of a pro sports operation with opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

Community Events & Marketing Support

• Support planning and execution of community events, watch parties, pop-ups, and fan experiences across the GTA and beyond.

• Assist with themed game nights, cultural celebrations, and brand activations that connect with fans and communities.

• Coordinate event logistics including setup, vendor communication, transportation, inventory management, and onsite execution.

• Help identify creative entertainment ideas and emerging trends in sports and live entertainment.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in sports, live events, entertainment, production, or event coordination required.

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the game and event schedule.

• Must be able to work all Tempo home games in Canada for the 2026 season.

• Experience working with performers, entertainment teams, stage management, or live production is considered an asset.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy live event environments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and event planning tools considered an asset.

• Passion for basketball, live entertainment, fan engagement, and community experiences.
